Boston University School of Music Launches Two New Distance Learning Programs in Music Education

Boston University's School of Music (College of Fine Arts) now offers two new distance education programs: The Master of Music in Music Education and the Doctor of Musical Arts in Music Education. These online degree programs are designed for working music educators from around the world.

By making available these two music education degree programs in distance learning format, Boston University is trying to tap into the students-pool from around the world.

The master's program coursework in designed to take 16 months, and the Doctoral program students are expected to finish the coursework in about 24 months. Additionally, the Doctoral program students are required to meet with their instructors once during the program.

Incidentally, Boston University's School of Music is one of the oldest degree- granting music education institution in the United States.
